Results from the poll

A significant 56% of respondents indicated a preference for full-time employees, underscoring the enduring value of stability and long-term engagement in building a strong organizational culture. On the other end of the spectrum, 8% of employers opt for the flexibility of on-call staff, highlighting the need for agility in certain sectors and situations. Interestingly, a substantial 33% employ a hybrid strategy, leveraging the benefits of both full-time and on-call staff to foster both stability and adaptability within their workforce.

These results prove that employers are carefully combining the traditional idea of full-time jobs with the modern need for flexibility or “hybrid work” as the popular phrase is used lately.

What does this mean for your business?

As a business owner or hiring manager, you need to recognize the unique benefits and challenges of each approach to recruitment. Full-time employees provide a stable foundation, but on-call staff can offer critical flexibility in response to fluctuating demand or specialized project needs. A hybrid approach to recruitment will allow your company to navigate these dynamics strategically, ensuring that you are well-positioned to respond to market changes and opportunities. As we look to the future of work, the key for employers will be in crafting staffing strategies that align with their organizational goals, culture, and the demands of their industry.
