Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is a powerful tool that allows companies to give back to the communities and make a positive impact on society. Q-Sourcing Uganda partnered with Concern for the Girl Child (CGC) an NGO founded in 2001 in Uganda with the aim of empowering vulnerable children, especially the girl child with the aim of empowering vulnerable girls with job readiness skills.

In many parts of the world, including Uganda, vulnerable girls face numerous challenges that hinder their access to quality education and employment opportunities. Q-Sourcing Uganda recognized this issue and decided to take action by partnering with CGC which has a strong track record of supporting girls in need.

The training focused on providing job readiness training to vulnerable girls under the guidance of professionals and experts in our recruitment and HR departments. The initiative aimed to equip these young women with the necessary skills, knowledge, and confidence to enter the job market successfully. The training covered that covered essential job readiness topics like CV writing, essential skills in the workplace such as communication, teamwork, and problem-solving and valuable insights into various career options and the necessary steps to pursue them. This guidance will be key in enabling the girls make informed decisions about their future careers.

Concern for a Girl Child – CGC has been actively working to improve the lives of vulnerable girls in Uganda for many years. Their deep understanding of the challenges faced by these girls and their established network within the community ensured that the event reached those who needed it the most. The girls who participated in the program left with newfound skills, confidence, and a sense of hope for a brighter future. They now have the tools they need to pursue meaningful careers and break free from the cycle.
