About This Job:
Q-Sourcing Limited trading as Q-Sourcing Servtec is a manpower management solutions firm operating in the East African Region in the countries of Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, and South Sudan.

On behalf of our client Tradesmart Supplies Limited, we are looking for a competent, skilled and experienced Accountant to work in Kampala, Uganda.

Job Purpose:

Reporting to the CEO, the position is responsible for helping in the preparation of budgets, financial reports and generation of quotations and invoices. The job holder is also responsible for ensuring that adequate financial and accounting records are maintained.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepare full set of Financial Statements
• Ensure that System Integrity is Maintained
• Preparation of Management Reports
• Ensuring that Staff loan and advances are recovered and correctly accounted.
• Prepare vouchers (Income, Expenses and journal) and other business documents
• Cash Book posting, bank reconciliation and reconcile balance sheet items
• Collections: Follow up with clients on overdue payments through email.
• Credit Analysis: Assess the creditworthiness of clients and make recommendations to management regarding credit limits and terms.
• Prepare Budget – implement Budget and monitor budgetary allocation and control
• Payroll journals and posting
• Prepare various reports required by industry regulatory authority
• Analyze revenue and expenditure trends and recommend appropriate budget level and ensure expenditure control.
• Resolve accounting discrepancies
• Supervise the input and handling of financial data and reports for the company’s automated systems
• Interact with internal and external auditors in completing Audit
• Monitoring incoming payments
• Generate Reports on accounts receivable status and invoice aging.

• Computer literacy and ability to work with minimal supervision.

Minimum Qualifications:

• University Degree in Accountancy or financial management, B.COM, BBA or related qualifications
• Part or a complete Level of ACCA, CPA, ACIS, CPE or equivalent is an added advantage
• Registered member of ICPAU

Experience:

• At least 5 year’s experience in finance and accounting.
• Payroll processing is a plus
• Extensive experience in working with computerized accounting systems,
• Experience in analyzing financial data and communicating to non-finance staff.
