Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities

General
• As primary contact for the zone, Field Manager ensures adherence to
recommended prices across the entire channel, fostering a successful picture. His
commitment enhances overall performance and market presence cohesively.
• The role is responsible for executing SBL’s distribution and trade marketing
strategies, driving consumer engagement, and enhancing the company’s
competitive position.
• The Field Manager oversees team performance in assigned territories, ensuring
efficient workflows, timely deliverables, coaching for high performance, and strict
control over commercial activities to meet deadlines and targets.
Monitoring
• Track daily sales volumes and values for both the sales force and distributors.
• Monitor commercial execution KPIs (e.g., visibility, NND, visit frequency, Picos
rate).
• Measure premium brands as a percentage of total volume.
• Oversee the execution of conquest plans for POS and wholesalers.
• Ensure data integrity and optimize the use of the SAS system for distribution
management.
• Understanding/ Usage of Distributor management system.
Team Management
• Communicate sales targets to sales representatives and distributors.
• Enforce company regulations (safety, conflict of interest, working hours, etc.).
• Share essential information for effective regional implementation.
• Identify talent and address underperformance.
• Develop classification criteria aligned with RTC and Trade Marketing Strategy.

• Maximize consumer activations in outlets through SBL Sales Reps.
• Conduct monthly performance reviews and market intelligence activities.
Coaching (with the support of the sales capability manager)
• Upskill sales representatives through individual and group training.
• Reinforce sales methodologies (7 steps of the call, data accuracy, selling-out
strategies, 5Rs of Trade Marketing, reporting framework).
• Ensure excellence in Picos (availability, visibility, FIFO, planogram compliance).
Distribution management
• Oversee the execution of Joint Business Plans (JBP) with support from the
Head of Field Management, sales representatives, and RTM manager.
• Support distributor development to improve area coverage and operational
management.
• Optimize route-to-market strategies and increase sales through distributors.
• Always maintain a minimum of three working days’ stock.
• Ensure strict adherence to recommended pricing for products and empties.
• Participate in weekly meetings with distributors and the SBL team.
