JOB SUMMARY
The Chief of Staff will serve as a critical link between the executive team and other stakeholders, ensuring strategic alignment and operational excellence within Vanguard Economics. This role requires a deep understanding of the African business landscape and the ability to navigate complex organizational dynamics.
JOB DETAILS
Strategic Advisory:
- Act as a trusted advisor to the executive leadership, offering actionable insights on market trends, industry innovations, and emerging opportunities in Africa and globally.
- Provide strategic input into business plans and corporate decisions across all entities.
Execution of Strategic Initiatives:
- Oversee the execution of key initiatives across the companies, ensuring strategic goals are met while maintaining alignment with the broader VE Global Holdings vision.
Cross-Entity Coordination:
- Facilitate collaboration and knowledge-sharing among departments and entities to drive operational efficiency.
- Develop processes to enhance communication and reporting between VE Global Holdings and its subsidiaries.
Executive Support:
- Manage the preparation and follow-up of executive meetings, including agenda setting, documentation, and action item tracking.
- Lead the creation and dissemination of internal and external communications for the executive team.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Serve as the primary liaison between the executive team and clients, partners, and internal teams, ensuring seamless coordination and alignment.
- Represent VE Global Holdings at key meetings, events, and external engagements.
Strategic Planning and Monitoring:
- Lead the annual strategic planning process, integrating priorities across companies.
- Monitor the implementation of balanced scorecards and KPIs for all entities under VE Global Holdings, providing regular updates to leadership.
Operational Oversight:
- Optimize the Managing Director’s schedule to ensure efficiency across diverse priorities and engagements.
- Ensure adherence to governance frameworks and compliance standards across subsidiaries.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Economics, or related field. A master’s degree in strategy, management, or international business is highly preferred.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in a professional services, financial services, strategy, or consulting environment.
- Demonstrated experience working across multiple business units or industries, with exposure to executive decision-making.
