Job Description
1. Develop and implement integrated marketing and PR strategies to support key initiatives, including the call for applications, event promotions, and post-event content distribution.
2. Manage and grow ABH’s social media presence on platforms such as LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube, and Instagram, ensuring consistent messaging and audience engagement.
3. Oversee and coordinate efforts with social media, PR, and creative agencies, including reviewing content plans, ensuring timely delivery of assets, and aligning activities with broader campaign goals.
4. Lead event marketing efforts for ABH’s flagship events, including the annual Summit & Grand Finale, ensuring high attendance, strong media coverage, and post-event engagement.
5. Supervise the production and distribution of OOH marketing materials, such as digital and printed banners, billboards, and ad placements, ensuring alignment with ABH’s branding.
6. Build and maintain strong relationships with media outlets, journalists, and influencers to drive positive media coverage and increase ABH’s visibility.
7. Draft and distribute press releases, op-eds, and media kits to promote key events, milestones, and initiatives.
8. Coordinate press interviews and media engagements for ABH leadership, speakers, and finalists to maximize positive exposure.
9. Develop and implement a content and distribution strategy to maximize coverage and engagement across Africa and priority markets.
10. Identify and secure partnerships with media platforms (social, digital, and traditional) to amplify ABH’s reach and impact.
11. Explore and test new media platforms and content formats, such as influencer collaborations, short video platforms, and streaming services, to enhance audience engagement.
A successful candidate will have a proven track record in:
• Leading large-scale marketing and PR campaigns across multiple geographies (preferably regions within Africa) and demographics.
• Managing and coordinating multiple agencies, including social media marketing agencies, PR firms, and content distribution partners, to execute high-impact campaigns.
• Driving audience engagement across digital platforms with a deep understanding of how to develop and optimize content for maximum reach and interaction.
• Developing and executing event marketing strategies to build anticipation, drive attendance, and maximize post-event engagement.
• Managing media relations and securing top-tier press coverage to enhance ABH’s brand visibility and reputation.
Requirements
• Diverse experience/background in marketing
• Strong network of media contacts across Africa.
• Strong proficiency in coordinating multiple agencies and stakeholders.
• Working knowledge or proficiency in French.
• Passion for entrepreneurship and business.
