JOB TITLE: HEAD OF ICT

About This Job:

Q-Sourcing Limited trading as Q-Sourcing Servtec is a manpower management solutions firm operating in the East African Region in the countries of Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, and South Sudan.

Job summary:

This position is responsible for the management, implementation and usability of information and computer technologies. This involves analyzing how our current technologies benefit the Company and improving on them or introducing new ones to keep the company at the cutting edge in line with our vision and strategy. In other words, the successful candidate will be responsible for driving the analysis and re-engineering of existing business processes, identifying and developing the capability to use new technology, and reshaping the Company’s IT infrastructure and network access. This role will be critical for ensuring the smooth running of the ICT function and aligning business to technology in order to provide operational support.

KEY RESULT AREAS:

  1. Supporting business Strategy through technology
  2. ICT systems maintenance and security systems.
  3. Enhance internal business operations to increase efficiency.
  4. Teams’ Performance management.
  5. Budgeting and Procurement.

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business IT/Software Engineering or related field. A Master’s degree will

be an added advantage.

  • At least 10 years’ experience in software development or systems management, three (3)of which

must be in a senior leadership level.

  • Sound understanding of computer systems (hardware/software), networks etc.
  • Good awareness of technology trends.
  • Knowledge of ICT systems project management.
  • ICT Professional Certification will be an added advantage.
  • Member of a professional IT body.

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:

  • Experience in analysis, implementation and evaluation of IT systems and their specifications.
  • Project management skills.
  • Innovation and creativity.
  • Integrity and professionalism.
  • Experience in managing ICT services budget.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
  • Outstanding communication skills.
